Long time no post! I wasn't the best about keeping up with my blog during the last half of the year, so most of the coords in this year's favorites are actually ones that I haven't shared here yet. Back in January my comm had another swap meet! At the swap meet and afterwards online I was able to sell quite a bit of stuff that never fit me/didn't quite work out, which I then proceeded to make up for by buying a whole bunch of new things that thankfully fit me much better. This week's LBC challenge was to create a coord with your favorite main piece. Mine is my Sweetie Chandelier JSK, but I used that for the last outfit challenge I did a while ago of creating 3 coords with the same main piece, so this time I went with Milky Planet which is a very close second!

This was a taobao haul that I placed just before Halloween to put my coord together. As usual I used Spree Now as my shopping service, and they were very helpful. LBC: Key Differences From When I First Started Lolita to Now

This week's LBC challenge is about how the fashion has changed over the years. I've only been wearing lolita since 2013, but I think that there's a lot of huge differences in both the aesthetics of the fashion and community aspects between then and now. 

2018 Lolita Resolutions + Plans

Last year writing about my goals for the new year really helped to motivate me to complete them, and I followed through on every single one! So this year I also wanted to make sure that I have that same inspiration driving me. The LBC challenge for this week is to write about our top 3 resolutions and plans to achieve them.

Happy January! Happy Wardrobe Post Season! 

This past year I feel like I finally achieved my the wardrobe to make my dream style come true! 2017 was a great year for collecting dresses and meeting a lot of goals that I had set for myself. I'm currently working on putting together my 2018 resolutions to set new goals for myself, but in the meantime here is my wardrobe post for the start of the new year.

My style is mainly very colorful sweet, with the occasional venture into something new. I like bright colors and pastels, mixing patterns, retro themes, and animal prints. 

Top Outfits of 2017

2017 was the year that I finally got to materialize my OTT dreams! <3 I spent a lot of time scouring the internet to find the perfect bows, bracelets, and other details in as many colors as possible to gradually bring back to life the somewhat dying trend of colorful, loud, gaudy, 2012 era, candy-colored sweet lolita. Since I first started out in the fashion back in 2013, the main trends have steadily been changing in a way that's been distancing the fashion from what captivated me so much in the first place. Maybe someday I'll actually work up the courage to write a whole blog post on this, but in the meantime I'll focus on this positive note: even though the direction of the fashion in inevitably changing, I'm very thankful that I've finally gotten my style to what I once dreamed it could look like!!

Hello Kitty Cafe Truck 2017 - Visit 2

The Hello Kitty Cafe Truck came back to my state a few months ago! I visited again in another deco coord, and this time only waited about an hour and a half in line for snacks. See my outfit underneath the cut:

Youmacon 2017 - Sailor Lolita Adventures

At the beginning of last month I went to Youmacon. I changed my mind about going quite a few times but figured I should go for at least a little bit to hang out with some friends and it was so worth it. I only went for a few hours, but I had a great time. I decided to wear a sailor coord since I knew would be able to get some nice photos by the water. Matching the boat was a total bonus!

LBC: 1 Dress 3 Coords with Angelic Pretty's Sweetie Chandelier

This week's LBC challenge is to create 3 different outfits with 1 dress. I picked Sweetie Chandelier because I think it's by far the most versatile dress in my wardrobe! I was able to use different shoes, blouses, legwear, bags, and accessories in each one to really make them unique. A personal goal that I set for myself was to complete this challenge without repeating any of my previous coords with this dress. I'm pretty happy with 2/3 of the results! 

Matsuricon 2017

At the end of the summer I went to Matsuricon. It was a really fun and very much needed weekend with friends. My plan was to bring 3 main pieces that I usually wear casually and coord them in new ways. Here are the results!

Halloween Coord 2017

Happy Halloween!! For the holiday this year I wore a gothic coord out for the first time. I felt a little out of place wearing something so different but it was a lot of fun to try, and the time of year gave me the perfect motivation.
